Greeters/Ushers open doors (especially
for those needing assistance) and welcome parishioners and guests into
the church and assist them with seating. They should have a
general knowledge of the functions of the Church in order to answer
questions as they arise. Other responsibilities include collection
and counting the weekly offering, distributing the bulletins and
arranging the missals and song books at the end of Mass. They
serve one Sunday a month and at special Masses and other events as
needed. An annual training session is required.
