The Elizabeth Ministry is a parish-based
outreach to women in special times of motherhood. The purpose of the
ministry is to affirm, support, encourage and assist women in response
to their needs during the childbearing years. Through the Elizabeth
Ministry, women become mentors to other women in the parish, offering
companionship, encouragement, prayers and understanding in personal
visits, mail and/or telephone contacts. For example, a woman who had
twins would mentor a woman pregnant with twins. Training is provided.
