Position Description

The members of the Tri-Parish Council will act as servant-leaders to bring the three parishes of Lewiston together into a single Catholic faith community. This will be accomplished by the following process:

  • The Council will meet on a regular basis to make decisions that will determine the course of unification of the three parishes. These meetings will be at least monthly, but more often as the need arises.
  • The decisions of the Council will be with the advice and oversight of the pastors and the Diocese of Boise.
  • The Council will select a professional liturgical design consultant to guide us through the process of building and envisioning our new worship center and associated facilities.
  • The Council will construct a timeline in conjunction with the liturgical design consultant, and strive to keep all parties moving forward in an organized and expeditious manner.
  • The Council will appoint parishioners to serve on the various committees needed to achieve a successful project. At a minimum, the following committees will be appointed:
    • Building Committee
    • School Committee
    • Finance Committee
    • Liturgical Committee
    • Communications Committee
  • The Council will coordinate and communicate with the various committees to avoid misunderstandings and duplication of effort.
Term of office will be for two years, to be reappointed at the discretion of the pastors for the duration of the project.
